My passion for baking began when I was 12. I remember hand-copying recipes from cookbooks in the library and testing them out at home. Seeing my friends and family enjoy my bakes brought me joy from the bottom of my heart.
Fast forward to today, recipes are everywhere, and it’s such an exciting time to learn from so many inspiring creators.
This is one of the key reasons why I left corporate after four and a half years to pursue baking full-time. It was a leap but I felt more certain than ever about my direction – I want to become a pastry chef and create something of my own.
If you ask whether I regret not jumping into culinary sooner, I don’t! My experience in accounting and tech gave me skills and confidence that have been invaluable in supporting this journey. And of course, the people I’ve met along the way have been wonderfully supportive. If I had another chance, I’d choose the same path all over again. 🙂
